New laws coming into effect in New South Wales shortly will force service stations to sell more ethanol in their fuel.

The government says more ethanol will mean cheaper fuel, but critics say petrol won’t be cheaper. Instead, they say the move is a payoff to one of Australia’s biggest political donors, the Manildra Group.
