Casuals console operators, roadhouse attendants and driveway attendants must now be engaged for a minimum of 2 hours per rostered shift under changes to the VMRSR Award that came into effect on 1 October 2018.

The simple change to clause 13 was made recently to effect a requirement for minimum shift lengths of 2 hours for all casuals.

In the main this change is not anticipated to cause rostering issues or pressures for businesses, however, all ACAPMA Members are encouraged to review their rosters, particularly where additional staff are rostered on for busy periods, to ensure that there is compliance with the new requirement.
