Fair Work Australia recently handed its annual decision on minimum wages and there have been changes to pay rates, allowances as well as some loadings.

The new pay rates come into effect from the first pay period on or after 1 July 2012.

It is important that you review and understand the changes even if you employ under an enterprise or individual agreement, as the Modern Awards form the basis for minimum pay levels in all agreements so you must be sure that you are over the minimum levels.

ACAPMA has recently sent to members the ACAPMA Quick Reference Guides for the Clerks-Private Sector Award, the Vehicle Manufacturing, Repair, Services and Retail Award, and the Road Transport and Distribution Award.  These Quick Reference Guides cover wage rates as well as common allowances and clauses.

ACAPMA is also running training that is open to members and the wider industry, and all attendees will be presented with copies of the Quick Reference Guides, contact ACAPMA to learn more.
