Police from Leichhardt Local Area Command are appealing for public assistance following the robbery of a convenience store overnight.

About 10.25pm (Monday 9 March 2015), three men entered a convenience store on Norton Street wearing face covering and dark clothing.

One of the men walked up to the counter and threatened the 26-year-old male employee and demanded cash, while the other two men kept lookout.

The employee handed the man an amount of cash and all three left the store and were seen getting into a dark coloured sedan that was waiting in nearby Marion Street.

No weapons were produced during the robbery and a crime has now been established while specialist police conduct a full investigation.
