Two masked men have smashed their way into a service station in Adelaide’s north, threatening the attendant with a knife and escaping with cash.

The balaclava-wearing pair smashed the Elizabeth Vale service station’s glass door with a hammer at about 12.20am.

They threatened the attendant with a knife before taking cash from the register.

Both men, both dressed in black, then left the Main North Rd service station on foot.

The service station attendant was unhurt.

Police, including crime scene investigators and police dog Ari, searched the area but were unable to locate the offenders.
