A knife-wielding bandit has robbed a service station in Bunbury on Tuesday morning.

Police say the man entered a petrol station on the Australind Bypass in Glen Iris at 5.20am and threatened the attendant with a knife, demanding cash.

He left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The man is described as being fair-skinned, approximately 183 centimetres tall, of medium build and wearing all dark clothing.
