An investigation is underway following an armed robbery of a service station in Carlton last night.

About 8.30pm (Tuesday 26 May 2015), two men entered a service station on Railway Parade, one armed with a knife.

The men approached a 34-year-old employee, threatening him and demanding money.

The pair fled the scene towards Garfield Street, taking cash.

The employee was uninjured during the incident

Officers attached to St George Local Area Command were called and commenced investigations.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist them.

Both men are described as being about 18 – 20 years old, of slim build, and one of the men was about 157cm tall.

One man was wearing a blue hooded jumper and the second man was wearing a grey jumper with white writing across the front.
