Hundreds of truck drivers and transport workers have protested in Melbourne outside the head office of supermarket giant Coles.
They were voicing their opposition to recent changes to truck driving conditions including transport cuts and the link road deaths.
Members of the Transport Workers’ Union gathered outside the Hawthorn East facility on Thursday.
The family members of a David Tagliaferri, who died in a truck crash, spoke to the crowd.
Following the protest, members will attend a safety summit looking at why trucking is Australia’s deadliest job.
Comment is being sought from Coles, which has previously said it takes driver safety very seriously.
