Following the National Wage Case, the minimum wage was increased. These increases will take effect from the first pay period on or after July 1. ACAPMA has released a series of Quick Reference Guides on the increases and their impact on the Modern Awards.
Awards
The increase in the minimum wage has an effect on the rates in the Modern Awards. The Awards are changed by the Fair Work Commission to incorporate the new rates for wages and expenses. The result is a new version of the Modern Awards is now available.
Members are reminded that it is a requirement to provide employees with a copy of, or access to, the employment instrument. If staff are covered by an Award and there is a printed copy at the workplace, it is time to dispose of it and replace it with the latest version. You can access the latest version of the Awards using the following links, which are perpetual and will always lead to the latest version of the Award;

The ACAPMA Quick Reference Wage Guides
These are a member-only resource that is provided to simply capture the wage rates and key provisions of the Award. They are not exhaustive and members are reminded that it is important to refer to the Award, or to ACAPMAs Employment Department for advice and assistance for complex matters.
This is the 5th year that ACAPMA has produced these guides and it is important to ensure that you are referring to the correct year and version of the guide. The effective dates of the guide will be displayed on the first page. Members are encouraged to ensure that the payroll has a copy of the new guides and is utilising the correct version;
