Detectives have laid charges after two masked people armed with a machete and claw hammer robbed Busselton Caltex earlier this month.

WA Police spokeswoman Ros Weatherall said two people entered the Causeway Road petrol station about 7.40pm on June 6, one had their face covered with a shirt, the other wearing a balaclava.

She said they allegedly threatened staff with the weapons as they demanded cash and cigarettes before they took off on foot.

A 36-year-old woman of Geographe and an 18-year-old West Busselton man have been charged with aggravated armed robbery.

They will appear at Busselton Magistrates Court on June 30 and July 7 respectively.

A 23-year-old woman of West Busselton will also face the same charge – police allege she helped plan the robbery. She will appear at Busselton Magistrates Court on July 7.
