Police are investigating a robbery at United Petroleum on Harbour Dr early this morning.

At around 1am, it is believed a man entered the petrol station and confronted the male attendant, indicating he had a weapon, and demanded tobacco products.

It is understood the attendant complied with the offender who stole a quantity of cigarettes.

As the man left the entrance the man’s shoulder charged a glass door, splintering the glass before fleeing on foot.

No description is available of the male so far and it is not known if the male had concealed his face.

Police, including detectives and forensics officers from Lismore examined the scene and took statements.

The incident is forth attack on a petrol station in the Coffs Harbour in as many weeks.
