With an impressive program, entertaining social events and major exhibitors, the 2015 ACAPMA National Conference & Expo is shaping up to be a highlight of the petroleum and convenience industry calendar.

Under the theme of “Changing the Dynamics” the conference program is a mix of education, information and networking opportunities

“A diverse list of speakers will present and address key industry issues during the Conference business sessions ensuring you leave the Conference with up to date industry news and tools that can assist you with your business growth and development,” ACAPMA CEO Mark McKenzie said.

“ACAPMA is actively involved in advocating for industry with both Federal and State Governments and these relationships translate into creating a supportive and successful industry.

“The National Conference & Expo is a large part of this important relationship-building process and those who attend – whether as an exhibitor or delegate – are supporting an event created by the industry for the industry.

“On top of this, its unique format of conference, expo and social events means deeper and lasting relationships can be formed with key industry leaders, business partners and decision makers.”

While the final details and speakers are still to be confirmed, the schedule is shaping up to have something for everyone and more.

The event kicks off on the evening on Tuesday September 22, with a 1950s-themed Welcome Cocktail Party & Expo Opening, sponsored by Arthur J Gallagher and with a keynote presentation from rising motorsport star, Chaz Mostert.

Delegates will enjoy three hours of live entertainment, drinks and food service.

That will be followed on Wednesday morning with a Business Insights Breakfast, sponsored by New Sunrise and featuring a macro-economic perspective of a near-term economic outlook and the issues facing fuel business.

The first day of the National Conference and Expo is based around the general theme of Customers First: Fuel Retail in Australia and will include plenary sessions in relation to the Australian perspective on what customers want (including an ACAPMA-commissioned independent research study) and am absorbing case study that delves into current customer strategy in action.

The day will end with “The Great ‘Gas’ Debate: Arguments for and against LPG”, where two teams of experts will battle it out to convince the audience of their point of view.

On Wednesday evening, it’s time to don your all-white pantsuit for the White Pool Party.

“Set in the beautiful surrounds of the Marriott lagoon and pool, you will be amazed with feathered and glittering entertainment and shows never seen before at an ACAPMA event,” Mark said.

“This is one night where the stars of industry come together all whilst enjoying cocktails, drinks and an array of food surely to impress.”

On Thursday, the conference focuses on the legislation and safety, before turning attention to the future of petrol and convenience, with futurist Mike McCallum giving his insights on what the industry will look like in 2035.

The event wraps up with the Unigas-sponsored finale Cirque de Burlesque, a fresh, fun and devilishly unpredictable evening that is sure to delight and amaze.

The 2015 ACAPMA National Conference & Expo will be held at the Marriott Resort and Spa, Surfers Paradise, from September 22 to 25, 2015.
