ACAPMA is the national peak body representing the downstream petroleum industry and a national approach of representation and support have always characterised this member run association.  The pressures faced by businesses in the downstream petroleum industry are often shared pressures.  While the Australian market is relatively small and localised from an international perspective, geographical and jurisdictional elements combine to create unique local circumstances, that bring their own challenges and opportunities.  ACAPMA continues the tradition of understanding, highlighting and engaging on these local circumstances with another round of State based events.

The latest in a series of local stakeholder engagement forums is being conducted in Perth and comes after successful events in Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland recently.

ACAPMA CEO Mark McKenzie explains, “it would be easy for the association to only focus on national issues, concerns, opportunities and approaches, but to do so would fail to recognise a fundamental fact of the downstream petroleum industry in Australia.  Namely, that ACAPMA Members are important parts of unique communities and are subject to unique pressures and have similarly unique concerns and solutions”.

“These forums provide an excellent opportunity for the association to engage with members and other stakeholders to ensure that local issues are included in national focus” continues McKenzie.

The local forums will continue throughout the year.  ACAPMA Members are encouraged to have their say on their local circumstances at these forums in the future, the national ACAPMA Conference on the Gold Coast in September, or anytime by contacting the association on 1300 160 270 or via
