A TRUCK driver had a lucky escape after a fuel tanker rolled and burst into flames in WA’s Kimberley.
WA Police and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to the triple road train rollover about 7.30pm on Wednesday.
The crash occurred on the Great Northern Highway, about 100km east of Derby and 150km west of Fitzroy Crossing.
Two fuel tank containing crude oil that were being towed rolled and caught fire, blocking the highway.
The driver escaped unharmed.
Great Northern Highway remains closed in both directions between Derby Highway/Fitzroy Crossing turn off and Fitzroy Crossing.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Main Roads and emergency services are on site.
