POLICE are appealing for public assistance to help identify a vehicle and man believed to be involved in the theft of petrol from a service station on the Warrego Hwy in Helidon Spa at about 12:30am on Saturday, September 19.

The vehicle appears to be a light blue Ford Territory with a star hanging from the rear-view mirror.

Both front and rear licence plates have been removed from the vehicle.

The man is described as average height, slim build with facial hair.

Police would like to speak with the man, as they believe he may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

Any information in relation to the identification of either the man or vehicle can be forwarded to Senior Constable Will Goodwin of the Helidon police station on 4697 6533.
