POLICE are searching for two men who carried out a 5am armed holdup at a Caltex petrol station in Malaga, in Perth’s north.

A WA Police spokeswoman said two men entered the petrol station on Malaga Drive demanding cash and cigarettes from staff, about 5am on Thursday.

It is understood one of the men was armed with a gun.

The pair ran off down Truganina Road after leaving the service station.

One man is described as being dark skinned.

The other man who was armed with the firearm is described as being fair skinned, approximately 165cm tall, of medium build and with short, black, spiked hair.

Both men were wearing dark clothing and appeared to be aged about 20.

Forensic officers were at the scene early scouring the petrol station for clues after the robbery.
