Albury police will question a Wodonga teenager over an armed robbery at an Albury service station on Saturday night.

Police allege the 17 year old used a shard of glass to demand cash and cigarettes from the attendant at the service station, before driving off in a car containing other youths.

The male attendant was not injured.

Wodonga police later arrested the teenager at his home in relation to other offences allegedly committed in Victoria.

Inspector Anthony Moodie of Albury police said investigators were hopeful of identifying the other people who were in the car with the alleged robber.

“The only positive thing about this job is we’re on track with the investigation and we have identified the person that went into the service station and we’re pretty confident that we’ll be able to identify the other people that were in the vehicle and they’ll face court at some stage down the track,” he said.
