POLICE are looking for a car with distinctive mags sporting stolen number plates that was used to steal fuel from a service station.
They are appealing for public assistance to help identify the vehicle and a man believed to be able to assist with their inquiries into the theft of a Queensland registration plate from the Harristown area.
Between 8.30am and 10.30am on November 11, a single Queensland registration plate number 908RZV was stolen from a motor vehicle in the Harristown area.
Later that day the stolen registration plate was affixed to a vehicle and was used to steal fuel from a service station on the Warrego Hwy, Helidon Spa.
About 2.35pm on November 11, a red Holden Commodore sedan with distinctive mag wheels bearing the stolen registration plate, 908RZV was observed to enter a service station on the Warrego Highway at Helidon Spa.
The driver has exited the vehicle and refuelled prior to leaving without making any attempt to pay.

The man is described as being average height, stocky build with a shaved head.
