PETROL prices have hit their lowest level in 10 months and the RAA is urging motorists to cash in and fill up their tanks.

ULP prices are averaging 109c/l across Adelaide, the RAA website shows, and are below $1/l at the independent outlet Mogas at Semaphore.

The outlet declined to comment why it was selling petrol 10c below cost price but that didn’t bother motorists queuing up for a bargain buy.

Petrol was also selling for under cost price in large parts of the southern, north western and north eastern suburbs, according to the RAA.

It said the cheap petrol was “thanks to falling oil prices’’ which has seen the wholesale cost of fuel drop almost 4c/l in the past 3 weeks.
