AFTER a drive around Gladstone, it is evident that the average price for unleaded fuel at the moment varies from 116 to 124 cents per litre, and diesel from 108 to 132 cents per litre.

However it seems the further you drive the cheaper the fuel gets.

If you’re looking to save a buck or two, the first Caltex in Boyne Island is the cheapest with unleaded premium fuel from 116 cents per litre and discounted at 112 cents per litre for those with Everyday Rewards cards.

Boyne Island BP is selling diesel at 108.9 cents per litre and unleaded at 118.9 cents per litre.

All of the places we called refused to give out fuel prices over the phone with one Caltex worker claiming it is illegal.

So we drove around town and gathered fuel prices so you can check the cheapest station closest to you from the comfort of your own home.
