POLICE and fire services have confirmed there are no public safety concerns at the BP service station on Maroochydore Rd, Maroochydore, after a car crashed into its front window.

A car smashed into the service station just before 1pm.

The female driver escaped without injury and is being transported to Nambour Hospital for medical review, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.

No other people were injured in the crash.

Fire service, ambulance and police vehicles have now completed their assessment of the scene and traffic on Maroochydore Rd is understood to be moving freely.


A CAR has crashed into the window of a BP service station on Maroochydore Rd, Maroochydore.

The incident occurred just before 1pm.

Nobody is trapped inside the vehicles, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman confirmed.

An ambulance, fire truck and QFES specialist rescue appliance is currently on the scene, he confirmed.
