TWO teenage boys have been charged after they allegedly robbed a service station with an axe and a knife at Woodridge early this morning

It will be alleged just before 2am the two approached the counter of a Kingston Rd service station and produced a knife and an axe and demanded cigarettes.

The male attendant jumped over the counter and ran to safety outside the store.

It will be further alleged the two then went behind the counter and took a tray of cigarettes before leaving the store.

The two 16-year-old boys were charged with one count each of armed robbery. They will both be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
