Police are hunting three teenagers after an armed robbery at a Wyong servo.

The trio of teen males, one armed with a firearm, robbed a service station in Amy Close shortly on Sunday evening.

Shortly after 11pm a teenage male knocked on the glass doors of the service station. The sole staff member working at the time – a 47-year-old woman – opened the shop’s doors and let the youth in.

As the doors opened, two other teens, one of them armed with a handgun, ran into the store.

The three teenagers threatened the woman and forced her to hand over cash, before they ran from the location in a westerly direction along Amy Close.

Police from Tuggerah Lakes LAC were called to the scene a short time later and are investigating.

The three teenage males are believed to be of Caucasian appearance with thin builds. During the robbery, they all wore hooded jumpers which partially concealed their faces.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries during the robbery.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 FREE.
