A man has been charged over a string of service station robberies in Sydney’s inner west.

The NSW Police Force formed Strike Force Klea following robberies in Hurlstone Park, Croydon, Bexley and Sydenham between 2am on February 4 and 11.45pm on February 5.

Cash and cigarettes were allegedly stolen.

Last night a 20-year-old man was arrested at Kings Cross station. He has been charged with assault with intent to rob armed with offensive weapon, demand property with menaces with intent to steal, robbery whilst armed with offensive weapon and robbery.

He was refused bail and will face Central Local Court later today.
