A masked man, allegedly armed with a knife, has held up a service station in South Australia’s southeast.

The suspect, who wore a motorcycle helmet, threatened staff and demanded money before running away from the Tailem Bend roadhouse early on Tuesday, police say.

He was also carrying an ornamental samurai sword, which was later found nearby with the motorbike and helmet.

No one was injured.
