ARMED robbers have stormed a service station in Melbourne’s southeast this morning.

A driver on the scene said the BP service station on the corner of Doveton Avenue and the Princes Highway in Doveton had been cordoned off by police.

The robbery took place at 3am but it is not yet known what was stolen.

The service station remains closed this morning as detectives begin an investigation.
