POLICE have charged a man over the alleged robbery of a service station in Southport on Saturday, April 16.

CCTV footage of the brazen robbery shows that the alleged offender didn’t even bother to cover his face.

It is alleged during the robbery the man entered the business on Marine Pde, demanding money and cigarettes before fleeing with both.

A 27-year-old man from Southport has been charged with enter premise with intent, demand property with menace and stealing.

He is expected to face Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.

The 29-year-old male employee was not physically injured during the incident.
