In September 2016, and in recognition of the increasing connectivity between the Australian fuel market and that of the wider Asia-Pacific Region, the ACAPMA Board approved preparations for the conduct of a new industry event focussed on fuel marketing and fuel distribution issues in the Asia-Pacific Region.

To be held every two years, the 2016 Asia Pacific Fuel Industry Forum marks an evolution of ACAPMA’s traditional National Conference & Expo into an international forum providing a genuine opportunity for industry participants to share knowledge on some of the contemporary issues facing the retail fuel and convenience industry within the wider Asia-Pacific Region.

The event incorporates a wholesale reinvention of the Expo element of past conferences. The new Trade Show concept provides greater opportunities for petroleum product and service providers to interact with key decision-makers in the industry via the conduct of technical information sessions in a dedicated Trade Show Hall.

Bringing together senior industry experts and thought leaders from across the Asia Pacific Region, this landmark event will be hosted at the spectacular Marina Bay Sands Resort in Singapore from 13 to 15 September, 2016.

THE CONFERENCE PROGRAMME:
The Conference programme embraces some of the more contemporary issues facing Australian and Asia Pacific fuel marketing and distribution businesses, including:

      • The near-term market outlook for fuel prices in the Asia-Pacific region
      • Nature of the Energy outlook for supply and demand across the Asia-Pacific Region

THE TRADE SHOW ELEMENT
The Trade Show element of past conferences has been entirely reinvented based on feedback that exhibitors wanted deeper engagement with delegates than occurred at past Australian Events.

The 2016 APFI Forum incorporates a dedicated Trade Hall that will immerse all delegates in the Trade Hall for the Technical elements of the programme, providing the opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their services and products in an environment that is purposely designed for information exchange.

The programme involves sessions that will alternate between strategic sessions (Conference hall) and technical sessions (Trade Hall) so that all delegates have the opportunity to gain information affecting their business now as well as insights into how to prepare for the future.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Different to the many ‘trader forums’ that are conducted in the Region each year, this forum is uniquely focussed on the businesses involved in fuel marketing and fuel distribution.

As a consequence, this is a not-to-be-missed event for those involved in the marketing, distribution and retailing of transport fuels in the Asia-Pacific Region.

Work to date suggests that delegates will range from small fuel retail businesses, to mid-cap fuel distribution businesses to senior representatives from major state-owned fuel companies and global oil companies – albeit with a likely continued high representation from Australia.
