Rockingham Detectives charged the 28-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman as a result of their investigation into the incident at Warnbro on Friday, March 25.

Detectives allege around 5:15pm, the woman exited the store area at a service station on Safety Bay Road with items she had not paid for.

They further allege a staff member tried to stop her but was threatened by the man who was holding a metal pole.

The man and woman left in a white coloured vehicle.

The 28-year-old man was charged with aggravated robbery and the 17-year-old woman with stealing.

They are due to appear in court on April 6, the man in Perth Magistrates Court and the woman in Perth Children’s Court.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident, in particular the occupants of a blue hatchback seen driving at a low speed along the laneway parallel to Hokin Street, between Safety Bay Road and Currie Street.
