TWO teenage girls were charged by police late Friday afternoon after allegedly holding an Ashmont service station attendant at knife-point last week.

The suspects allegedly entered the store with knives and threatened the staff member at the Metro Petroleum service station.

Both of the girls were refused bail, and will face the Children’s Court to defend charges related to attempted robbery whilst armed.

It comes after The Daily Advertiser reported the same ‘war-torn’ service station will shut-down.
