A phony Federal Police officer is scamming Melburnians to score freebies.
The man flashed a badge and said his name was John Higgston to con attendants into letting him drive off with a free tank of petrol at the BP service station in Flemington on July 10. He and a woman also had a dinner date in a Little Bourke St eatery on July 4 without paying.
