A 31 year old man has been charged with attempted robbery after allegedly demanding cash from store attendants at the Wonthella BP Service Station.

It’s alleged the male entered the service station around 9.55pm on Monday December 5th and proceeded to demand items from the store including cash from the till.

It is alleged the male was in possession of a knife at the time.

The store attendant activated an emergency alarm and police, who were less than a minute from the scene, attended immediately and were able to arrest the male at the scene of the incident.

The man has been charged with one count of attempted robbery, one count of stealing and one count of a controlled weapon.

He is due to appear in Geraldton court on December 15th.
