PORT Macquarie is sitting just outside of the top 10 cheapest places to buy unleaded petrol out of 57 places in NSW and Canberra.
The NRMA Bowser Buster ranks the weekly average unleaded petrol and diesel prices for over 50 locations in NSW and Canberra from cheapest to most expensive.
The town was positioned at number 11 for the week ending December 4, with an average price of unleaded petrol of 122.9.
Maitland was the cheapest place to fill up for motorists, as the unleaded petrol was priced at 118.9.
Bulahdelah was positioned at place number 57 for the most expensive unleaded petrol priced at 135.4.
Port Macquarie improved its ranking by four places, after it was placed at number 14 for the week ending November 27. For that week the town had an average price of 123.3 for unleaded petrol.
Meanwhile Port Macquarie is ranked at position 25 for diesel, with an average price of 123.1 for the week ending December 4.
For the week ending November 27, Port Macquarie was positioned at number 18 with an average price of 122.9 for diesel.
