Police are investigating an attempted robbery at Kilburn last night.

Just before 11.30pm, police were called to the Coles Express service station on Churchill Road after reports that a man had entered the store and threatened a staff member with a tyre lever, and demanded cash.

When the staff member refused to give him any money, the man ran away from the store. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as about 172cm tall, fair complexion, curly blonde hair, aged in his mid 20s and was wearing a yellow high-visibility shirt with another shirt concealing his face, orange shorts, a blue baseball cap, black gloves and blue running shoes. He was also carrying a black backpack.
