In April 2018, ACAPMA will be holding two workshops for those businesses involved in the provision of equipment and contracting services to the Australian fuel retail and distribution industry.

Register your interest with catherines@acapma.com.au.

The workshops are part of ACAPMA’s continued commitment to understanding and championing the needs of petroleum equipment and services businesses, following the deregistration of APICSA, and the introduction of three Best Practice Guidelines produced in 2017 on Stormwater Management, UPSS Maintenance and Biofuels Storage at last year’s Asia Pacific Fuel Industry Forum in Melbourne.

Last year’s Best Practice Guidelines were written by ACAPMA with the valuable input of a number of businesses in the petroleum equipment and services space and overseen by ACAPMA’s Equipment and Services (E&S) Council.

This year, ACAPMA again invites industry to submit their interest and attend the workshops to have a say in the next round of these Guidelines.  The topics of which will be discussed at the meetings in April.

The purpose of the workshops will be to secure industry feedback on the areas that are in greatest need of best practice guidelines and to hear about some of the more general issues that may be impacting adversely on the petroleum contracting industry.

“We are realistic about this process in that we can only do so much, but our hope is that we can assemble some more basic guidelines that provide valuable guidance to fuel retailers to assist with the scoping of future site improvement and refurbishment works”, said Mark.

“Our aim is to assess what is already out there and whether there are any priority areas for further Guidelines development”, Mark continued.
