A man allegedly filled up a truck with more than $1400 worth of petrol and drove off without paying at an Eastern Creek service station.

Blacktown police have called on the public to help track down the offender, who allegedly carried out the brazen theft last Tuesday, November 20.

About 4.35am a man pulled up at the Caltex service station on the westbound side of the M4 and filled up a white Kenworth flat bed prime mover with diesel fuel worth $1403.

He then got back in the truck and drove away.

The man was described as caucasian with an average build and a beard.

The truck was bearing the NSW number plate CD-97-DB. It has been expired since 2015.

The incident was captured on CCTV but it is understood the video alone could not identify the culprit.
