If your fuel tank is running low, you may want to top it up today.
Perth’s average fuel price is set to increase by more than 20 cents a litre tomorrow, putting the price of an average 50 litre tank of fuel up by $10.
FuelWatch has warned that the unleaded fuel price will go up from an average of 125.8 cents/litre today to 146.1c/l, while some service stations will hike prices by as much as 33 cents a litre – or about $16.50 for a full tank.
Most BP and Caltex service stations will ramp up their fuel prices to 153.9c/l tomorrow while most Caltex Woolworths stations are hiking up prices to 153.7c/l.
The price hike is part of Perth’s weekly fuel cycle. The cheapest fuel days are traditionally Sundays and Mondays, while Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the most expensive.
The cheapest fuel stations today are at Caltex Woolworths in Maddington West and Woolworths Mirrabooka, which are selling fuel at 118.7c/l.
BP 2go on Morrison Road in Midvale, BP Maida Vale and BP The Lakes Roadhouse are selling the eastern suburbs’ cheapest fuel at 120.9c/l.
Diesel is selling for an average of 149.5c/l in Perth today and prices will stay the same tomorrow.
