A fuel truck has ended up in a ditch at a major Townsville shopping centre this morning with emergency services on the scene.

The truck was meant to fill the fuel tanks at the Fairfield Central Caltex, though things didn’t go to plan with the truck ending up in a ditch.

The truck went into the ditch just after 8.30am, with Queensland Fire and Emergency Services on scene.

A QFES spokeswoman said they were making plans on how to extricate the truck from the position.

The spokeswoman said there was no danger to the public, with no fuel spilt during the incident.
