POLICE have arrested two 10-year-old boys after a group of children and youths allegedly threatened staff with rocks and sticks at a Tennant Creek service station at the weekend.

An NT Police spokeswoman said no one was injured during the incident but the group had allegedly damaged parked cars and glass panels at the Paterson St servo before fleeing the scene.

Another boy, aged 13, was also arrested before allegedly kicking and spitting at the officers who took him to the Tennant Creek watch house.

Once there the boy allegedly continued to behave aggressively and spat in an officer’s face.

All three boys will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

Investigations into the incident and any other children who may have been involved are ongoing, with police urging anyone with information to call 131 444 and quote reference number 9426717.
