City of Busselton councillors are expected to vote on a petrol station development on the corner of West Street and Peel Terrace at its council meeting on October 14, 2020.
The site was previously a home hardware store which has been redeveloped into a number of showrooms.
The proponent is seeking to redevelop the northern portion of the site, to incorporate a service station.
If council endorse the application two units at the site would be replaced with eight petrol bowsers and a 24-hour convenience store.
Modifications would need to be made to Peel Terrace to widen the road to 10 metres from 6 metres to fit fuel tanker movements.
Two six-metre illuminated signs would front both streets.
