Police have commenced an investigation after a man was assaulted and had his car stolen from a service station in Warwick Farm tonight.
About 7pm (Monday 23 November 2020), an 18-year-old man was purchasing fuel at a service station on the Hume Highway when he was approached by a man armed with a knife.
The armed man demanded the keys to his 2016 white Mercedes AMG and got in and closed the door. The owner tried to open the driver’s side door however, he was approached by a second man who had been waiting nearby on a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist man punched the owner in the face and pushed him away from the Mercedes as it drove away. The motorcyclist followed the Mercedes out of the service station and headed south on the Hume Highway.
Both men were wearing full face helmets during the robbery.
Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command were called and established a crime scene. They are searching for a white Mercedes AMG with NSW registration plates DMR-95N.
