A man has been stabbed in the face and back at a Cardiff service station after a dispute over a debt spilt out of a neighbouring baby shower.
Police were called to 7-Eleven on Main Rd about 7.10pm on Sunday, after reports of a group of people fighting.
Police said the group left the scene before they arrived, but a 23-year-old man was found at a nearby house suffering stab wounds.
He was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
A witness said the man was stabbed over an unpaid debt.

“We were having a baby shower next door and one guy showed up who owed another guy here at the party money,” said the woman, who did not want to be identified.
“Next minute they’re over in the servo car park acting up.
“He just started stabbing the guy in the face, back and neck.”
Another witness described the altercation as a “massive, all-in brawl”.
The service station was closed and cordoned off before specialist forensic police arrived at the scene.
Detectives were speaking to baby shower guests and the service station attendant.
