A Lavington man busted through the wall of a North Albury servo stealing more than $600 worth of goods.
Brody Compton, 25, faced Albury Local Court on Monday charged with aggravated break and enter in company, and larceny.
Court documents reveal Compton and an unknown male companion attended the Caltex servo on Union Rd, where the kicked open the door to the locked toilet on December 22, 2020.
The pair then entered the bathroom and busted their way through the plasterboard wall between the toilet and the main Caltex area.
CCTV footage captured Compton and his companion coming through the wall, pushing an ATM out of the way.
According to documents police stated the men headed straight for the cigarette cabinet and tried to break in using a screwdriver and a hammer — but were unsuccessful.
They then started stuffing phone accessories including chargers, power banks, and earbuds into a plastic bag, before escaping out the same hole in the wall with the security alarm sounding.
A yellow and black handled screwdriver was left at the scene which was later used to identify Compton, who was wearing a surgical face mask and hoodie in the CCTV footage, through DNA evidence.
Court documents reveal Compton was also captured on CCTV stealing a bottle of Captain Morgan Gingerbread Run from Coles Liqourland Lavington on December 21, 2020.
