A man – who was arrested after allegedly robbing a service station directly opposite Campbelltown Police Station – has been refused bail to appear in court tomorrow.
Just after 3pm (Saturday 22 May 2021), officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command responded to reports of an armed robbery at a service station on Queen Street, Campbelltown.
Police have been told a man – allegedly armed with a knife – threatened a female attendant before taking cash and running from the scene.
Officer from Campbelltown Police Station – which is directly opposite the business – responded immediately, arresting the man within minutes.
The 25-year-old man was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he has now been charged with robbery while armed with an offensive weapon, and resist officer.
The man, who is from Campbelltown, has been refused bail to appear in Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Sunday 23 May 2021).
The 54-year-old attendant was shaken but otherwise uninjured.
