Western Downs motorists now have another choice at the bowser when they pass through Dalby, with a new service station offering a buzzing hot box, truckies lounge, and more.

A spacious truckers lounge, a delectable hot box and most importantly cheap fuel are now available at the newest service station in Dalby.

Located at 18315 Warrego Highway on the way to Chinchilla, Liberty Oil has given Western Downs travellers another option at the bowser after opening its doors on June 21.

Motorists that passed by witnessed its evolution for months, with service station manager Sandesh Darshanala excited to be running his first business venture.

“This is my first business as I used to live in Roma, and I was always passing through Dalby and I really liked the town as it looked really happy,” Mr Darshanala said.

“Since opening it’s taken a bit of time for word to get around Dalby, but we’ve started to have repeat customers come through now we’re open.”

Promising cheaper fuel than other servos in the area, Mr Darshanala said this thrifty deal would combine with the vast array of food options and facilities available.

“We do main meals, burgers, all that type of stuff,” he said.

“We’ve got a truckies lounge with showers and a TV, and a sitting area as well.”

The franchisee said the station was constructed by Liberty Oil for reportedly several million dollars.

Mr Darshanala hoped motorists would enjoy the “extra option” for fuel in town, with Dalby having several stations already.

“We’ll have some of the lowest prices in the town, so I think once people start seeing that we’ll be getting more traffic coming through,” he said.
