A SERVICE station in Coconut Grove was held up at knifepoint on Sunday, with cash and tobacco stolen.
Senior Sergeant Xavier McMahon said just before 9pm on Sunday the four alleged offenders entered the business, all dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered.
“One person was armed with a knife when the group carried out the robbery at the service station on Bagot Rd where they stole a quantity of cash and tobacco,” S/Sgt McMahon said.
“The operator was in the process of closing for the night when the robbery was carried out, they received no injuries.
“If anyone was in the Coconut Grove area at around 9pm on Sunday night and observed any suspicious activity in the area please get in touch with police.”

The men are described as of average height, wearing dark hoodies and surgical-type masks. One had a black backpack and a coloured mask.
S/Sgt McMahon said a member of the public reported suspicious behaviour within a restaurant in Parap just before midnight on Sunday.
“Three people were observed within the restaurant area, they appeared to be removing alcohol from the premises and placing it into a wheelie bin,” he said.
“Police immediately attended and observed the above and those three persons were taken into custody.
“Further investigation discovered they actually made entry into the restaurant through the roof cavity, then located a wheelie bin to fill it up with alcohol from that location.
S/Sgt McMahon said just as the alleged thieves were about to escape the location, police attended arrested the offenders.
“Three males were taken to the Darwin watch house, one of them was a youth and has since been released and made has been made eligible for diversion,” he said.
“The other two have been charged and bail will be determined later on this morning.”
S/Sgt McMahon said police identified another takeaway business in the area which appeared to had been broken into at about 11.45pm on Sunday.
“We commenced an investigation to determine whether that’s linked to this other Parap unlawful entry,” he said.
“Anyone with any additional information to assist police investigations please come forward.”
