Police are searching for a man after an attempted aggravated robbery early this morning in an inner-eastern suburb of Adelaide.

Officers were called to a petrol station on Stephen Terrace, St Peters, about 5:45am on Saturday following reports that a man allegedly made verbal threats to staff demanding money.
In a statement, SA Police said staff at the petrol station refused and the man left empty-handed.
The man, described as being of Caucasian appearance with brown hair and a goatee and aged in his late 20s, was last seen heading south.
He was wearing a red plaid shirt, dark pants, black fingerless gloves and had a backpack with him.
Staff were not injured during the incident.
Police have urged anyone who saw the man in the area this morning, or anyone who has information, to contact Crime Stoppers.
