While the AdBlue shortage might have some motorists worried, experts say there’s no reason to panic as it primarily impacts trucks and there’s a solution on the way. For peace of mind, here’s a list of the diesel cars on sale in Australia that require the emissions-reducing additive.

Owners of diesel-powered cars, SUVs, four-wheel-drives, utes, and vans in Australia need not panic about a potential AdBlue shortage.

The emissions-reducing additive will primarily impact the trucking industry – which uses AdBlue in huge volumes – but there are already plans underway to make sure trucks delivering goods and services across Australia do not suddenly come to a stop.

In the meantime, the selection of modern diesel cars, SUVs, 4WDs, utes and vans that do need AdBlue are unlikely at this stage to be impacted, as they do not use as much as heavy vehicles.
