Brisbanites whose interest has been piqued by the Polestar 2 can now take one for a test drive, as the Swedish EV company moves its Polestar roadshow to the Brisbane showgrounds ahead of a drive down to Sydney and Melbourne.
Polestar, the all-electric automotive subsidiary brand of Swedish automotive giant Volvo Cars, is making the most of increasing interest and demand for EVs in Australia, and in its Polestar 2 electric fastback in particular.
After pre-orders for the Polestar 2 opened in Australia back in late-November – leading to as many as 3,000 test drives booked and maybe as many pre-orders within the first few days of December – the company began taking the EV on a roadshow around Australia to give prospective customers the opportunity to take the car for a test drive.
In the weeks leading up to Christmas, Polestar took its roadshow to the Gold Coast, and in a LinkedIn post this week, Jeremy Goh, the head of commercial operations at Polestar Australia, let us all know that the roadshow had made it to the Brisbane Showgrounds after a stint at King George Square.
Those looking to take the Polestar 2 for a test drive can head out to the Brisbane Showgrounds – though, according to the company’s test drive booking page, all spots have been fully booked.
The road show will bring test drives to Melbourne and Sydney next, and the test drive booking page also has some slots left as of writing.
