Prime Minister Scott Morrison held a press conference as he is tipped to call the date of the Federal Election this week.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison held a press conference at BP Mortdale on Tuesday morning.

He was joined by Minister for Foreign Affairs Marise Payne, Member for Banks David Coleman and Liberal candidate for Hughes Jenny Ware.

The Prime Minister said he was “thrilled” the Federal government’s budget announcement last week helped give people some cost-of-living relief.

“The benefits of what we’ve done to cut fuel taxes to give people cost-of-living relief, as a result of this budget, have been felt right here at the browser,” he said.

“To see as prices go down to what we see here, 166.9c, we are seeing that right across the country.”

The press conference has now finished.
